Our Initiatives
Through our initiatives, we proactively and collaboratively work with the community to share knowledge and resources to help those in need.
Our outreach programs and educational sessions provide information and resources to help eliminate stereotypes and stigma about mental health and addiction. Through these sessions we are able to open the doors to have conversations about mental health, redefine what it is, and share knowledge to clarify misconceptions.
Workshops and Information Sessions
We host many workshops and information sessions throughout the year to help educate the black community about mental health. Our sessions offer a safe and supportive space for everyone to meet and talk about mental health and to obtain resources and support.
Visit our Events page for upcoming sessions.
Speaking Engagements
Getting the word out to our community is one of the ways we are aiming to end mental health stigmatization. We attend and present at various events organized by the black community to bring the message directly to the people.
These speaking engagements gives us the opportunity to share our story, bring awareness about black mental health, speak directly to members of the community, and share information on the current state of black mental health in Canada.
